3.30pm SCHOOL CLOSES FOR SUMMER
Please let us know a telephone number at which you can be found, or a message left, in case your child falls ill during school hours. A home and an emergency number should be supplied. If your child falls ill during school hours, he/she must immediately report to the school office. If necessary, the school will contact you and ask you to arrange for your child to be brought home.

It is important for the School to be fully aware of any medical problems which may affect a student's life in School. Please contact the Year Leader if you wish to make an appointment to convey any confidential information. Absence letters must be sent to School during, or at the end of periods of illness of children. You will be notified in good time when medical or dental inspections or inoculations are arranged. If your child brings tablets, or any other form of medication to School, a note of authorisation from home is essential and should include detailed instructions with regard to the dosage and frequency of administration. The medicines are required to be brought to School in a properly labelled container with the name of the prescribing person (normally the G. P.) on the label as well as the name and address of the student. All forms of medication, with the exception of asthma inhalers, must be held in the safe custody of the School Office and administered in School only when two adults are present. The School is not allowed to administer non-prescribed medicines.
We have a school nurse, employed by the local Health Authority, who visits the school weekly to conduct health interviews and to hold a lunchtime drop-in session for pupils with any concerns.
