Head teacher's Message

Welcome to Caedmon School's internet site which has been recently upgraded to provide you with more information, advice and guidance on our school. This site can also link you to other sites including the Tony Hewitt, Head Teacherschool's VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) where much more detail is placed. This VLE will become well known to your children who will have the skills to show you how it works. This is a work in progress so I do encourage you to keep returning to both this website and our VLE to see what is new. The school also has a Facebook page and this is used to keep you up to date with events almost on a day to day basis.

We believe that Caedmon is an excellent school built on the hard work, commitment, skills, experience and talent of the pupils, teachers, parents and governors. The school has an excellent support team who help us to maintain high academic standards in a school which prides itself on the measurable ethos and caring environment which helps facilitate high academic standards for all our pupils. This school adds value and our latest data puts us in the top 5% of schools for "adding value" according to the Fischer Family Trust.

Our aim is help our students to develop the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values which will prepare them for life in the 21st Century. We strive for resilient and confident learners who all progress whether they are our most able, our talented or our special needs (SEN) students.

Visitors are welcome in school at any time during the day and with prior notice student guides can be arranged to show you around. If you would like a copy of our prospectus please do not hesitate to contact us.
